Cosmic Mountain Designs
These handcrafted wooden wall art pieces didn't just happen. After years of working in the food service industry, John was over it, and wanted to do something he loved. In 2014, inspired by art, music, and nature, John created CMD original designs in the garage of the house he shared with his wife, Carrie, in Roxborough, Colorado. His
vision came to life with second-hand tools and bit of anxiety.

The next couple of years were insane. John and Carrie had two daughters (their son comes later in 2020), worked their respective jobs, and continued to work toward making the dream of CMD a reality. Carrie jumped in in 2016 to set up Cosmic Mountain Designs as an LLC, trademarked the name, and created a website. Since then, they've moved into a bigger house with a bigger garage in Morrison, Colorado. John gives CMD his fulltime attention now, using those same second-hand tools with lots of new additions.

Everything they make is made to order and takes about 6 - 8 weeks to create. There are lots of custom projects, too. A friend commissioned John to make the logo and name of the preschool she owns – super awesome (photos to come)! As with everything that is created in that garage in Morrison, pieces are high quality, well made, and never touched by lasers. It's that distressed, 3D wooden wall art with a unique signature finish that says everything.
